About The Position

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Snapsheet, you will play a critical role in ensuring our technology is reliable, scalable, and efficient while empowering our development teams to be more productive. This is a 100% hands-on role, involving both infrastructure management and software development. Our SREs bring the expertise of a software engineer, combined with deep knowledge of deployment, provisioning, and automation technologies to drive operational excellence. You'll focus on automating processes, optimizing systems, and enabling seamless scalability, all while balancing short-term solutions with long-term strategy. Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years as a full-stack software engineer.
Experience building and maintaining scalable, resilient services.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a strong preference for Ruby on Rails and Typescript
Experience with the following:
Managing and scaling infrastructure on AWS
CI/CD frameworks (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, etc)
Backend development using Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks
Deep understanding of web technologies (HTTP, cookies, caching, ES6, HTML5, Progressive Web Apps, etc.)
Tooling, automation, and system monitoring for performance optimization
Designing and building developer tooling

Nice To Haves

Strong experience with infrastructure as code tools
Expertise in serverless infrastructure
Experience with github actions and/or CircleCI

Responsibilities

Improve the tooling and automation of our infrastructure to minimize manual work, increase performance, and decrease the frequency and severity of incidents
Build, maintain, and support core applications
Build and operate our core internal observability platform
Monitor our systems for capacity, performance, and troubleshooting issues
Partner with the rest of the SRE team and our service engineering teams to ensure smooth, continued delivery of our service to clients
Work directly with developers to identify and implement improvements in the development lifecycle and deployment process.
Automate processes to enhance deployment efficiency and system reliability.
Contribute across multiple development teams, supporting a variety of projects.
Ensure Snapsheet’s technology stack remains resilient, scalable, and high-performing.

For this position, the base salary range is $130,000 - $165,000. While this range serves as a guideline, your actual compensation will reflect your unique experience, skill set, and location.
