About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will drive the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance, while integrating AI/ML components to enhance system intelligence. About Team: Our team works closely with our US stores and Walmart Health and Wellness business to better serve customers by empowering team members, pharmacies, and clinics with technological innovation. Requirements

• 8+ years of proven experience as a software engineer, including Java proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to build and deploy applications and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Strong experience with full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and maintenance.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging GenAI tools to enhance software intelligence.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools to ensure reliable and scalable deployments.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Skilled in collaborating across teams to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
• Commitment to engineering excellence through code quality, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of software features and AI/ML components aligned with platform objectives.
• Write clean, efficient code in Java, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and define success metrics.
• Drive continuous integration, automated testing, and monitoring to maintain high-quality software performance.
• Participate in design reviews, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices.
• Manage DevOps processes and proactively address system issues to ensure reliability and uptime.
