About The Position

Fusion Technology is a performance-driven HUBZone Small Business concern residing in the heart of the beautiful mountainsides of West Virginia, steps away from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Criminal Justice Information Services Division's Headquarters. Founded in 2007 by an Engineer-by-trade, Fusion Technology dedicates our valuable resources to providing comprehensive IT services and solutions to mission-critical US Government programs and the Intel Community. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and management of application development projects in support of the IT infrastructure. You will develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics to support a forensic and investigative ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience with Python programming.
  • Complex system architecture design.
  • Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Redis.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S).
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with performance optimization and scalability design.
  • Experience with security engineering principles.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Svelte).
  • Experience with data streaming and integration technologies such as Apache Nifi.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Experience with Microservices architecture.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies.
  • Working in classified environments.
  • Strong understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex software solutions in secure government environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects in support of IT infrastructure.
  • Integrate third-party components and introduce new custom capabilities.
  • Modify existing code and recommend process improvements.
  • Automate operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement technical efforts for large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
  • Contribute to planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Participate in technical project milestone reviews and code architecture sessions.
  • Provide resource estimation and development best practices knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
