About The Position

This position is contingent on contract award. Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) provides high-quality professional services to government and commercial sectors. Our mission is to deliver exceptional management and technology solutions supporting the protection and preservation of the people and environment of the United States of America. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer at Indian Head, MD. The Senior Software Engineer will serve as a team lead, overseeing software engineering efforts across multiple departments or locations.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III baseline certification requirements by possessing at least one approved certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP or Associate, CCNP Security, CISA, CCSP, GCED, or GCIH).

  • Experience providing software engineering support in Navy or other similarly situated DoW environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise software solutions, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership by establishing engineering standards, evaluating technologies, guiding architectural decisions, and promoting software development best practices.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software applications, performing technical reviews and ensuring adherence to coding, testing, and documentation requirements.
  • Mentor and support engineering staff through technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and professional development activities that strengthen team performance and capability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver software solutions, resolve complex technical challenges, optimize system performance, and support the successful execution of project goals.
