•$166,900 - $242,400•Remote

About The Position

Upstart’s Identity team builds systems that help borrowers and lending partners securely access and manage accounts across Upstart products. The team works at the intersection of product and security, reducing friction in the customer experience while protecting identity and customer data. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Identity team, you will build secure, reliable backend systems that power login, account management, authentication, and authorization experiences. You will own meaningful projects from design through delivery, partner with Product, Information Security, and Application Security, and help evolve how Upstart builds secure customer experiences at scale. The role is primarily backend focused; frontend experience is helpful but not required. This role is remote and is available in the United States. Upstart is a digital-first company, and most work can be accomplished remotely. Employees are encouraged to collaborate in person at team onsites; cadence varies by team and role, with most teams meeting once or twice per quarter for two to four consecutive days. The anticipated U.S. remote base salary range is $166,900–$242,400. Actual base pay depends on geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Total compensation may also include target bonuses, equity compensation, and benefits.
