Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in the position or a related occupation.
- At least 1 year of prior work experience in the following: Algorithms & Data Structures.
- Full Stack Web Development using JavaScript frameworks React, NodeJS, TypeScript, and React Native.
- Object-oriented design paradigm.
- Cloud Computing & Infrastructure technologies AWS Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.
- HTML, CSS, and Java.
- Database/Storage Systems DynamoDB, S3, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Software Engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software programs.
- Build a portfolio of tools and platform capabilities that empower our programming operations team.
- Build user experiences and tools that define and drive content workflows.
- Code, test, document and deliver scalable and reliable platform services and components that create the foundation of the core web application platform with cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and search engine optimization.
- Optimize and streamline Roku's web application platform to facilitate a seamless implementation experience for our developers and partners.
- Suggest tools, cloud-based technologies/services and best practices to improve the site stability, performance and quality.
- Participate in Agile development process, including scoping, technical design, estimation effort, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, maintenance and support.
- Responsible for completion of individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with limited supervision.
