About The Position

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Short Hills, New Jersey location. This role involves designing, modifying, developing, and implementing technology solutions, building modern, architecturally sound components, tools, and applications to meet strategic business goals. The engineer will participate in an Agile environment, adhering to best practices and collaborating with teammates. Key responsibilities include infusing quality of service characteristics like scalability and maintainability into distributed service-based frameworks, contributing insights from prior experiences to design specifications, and participating in code and design reviews to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or closely related position.
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing Atlassian, Jira, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo and Bitbucket to track tasks and code repositories, and document requirements.
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing Git, GitHub and Gitlab for code version control and maintaining code repositories.
  • At least 2 years of experience programming in Java, JavaScript, React, Node JS, C++, Python, and PHP to develop applications and update existing features.
  • At least 2 years of experience accessing databases and systems, including MSSQL, Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB to store application data.
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing AWS S3, AWS EC2, AWS to store data in the cloud.
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing OpenShift, Jenkins, and Datadog to monitor and improve performance of applications.
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing Docker and Kubernetes to deploy applications and scale with active users.
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing Hive, Python, Spark to visualize and analyze data for application improvement.
  • At least 2 years of experience leveraging Agile methodology to achieve tasks in a team.
  • At least 2 years of experience programming in Linux and Bash environments to develop applications, run programs and scripts, configure hardware, and troubleshoot problems.
