We’re looking for an engineer who likes getting close to the metal and solving problems that only show up when software meets a real vehicle. In this role, you’ll build safety-critical software for the telematics control unit, working across embedded C++, vehicle communications, system design, integration, validation, and anomaly resolution. You’ll move between architecture discussions, deep debugging sessions, in-vehicle investigation, and supplier collaboration to ship software that has to work reliably in the real world, not just in a simulator. What You’ll Work On In this role, you will work on software that lives in one of the most interesting parts of the vehicle stack: where embedded systems, vehicle networking, diagnostics, cloud-connected services, and cellular/telephony behavior all collide. You won’t just be implementing isolated features. You’ll be tracing problems across system boundaries, debugging issues that reproduce only in real vehicles, balancing reliability and performance in safety-critical code, and figuring out how hardware, firmware, network behavior, cloud services, and supplier implementations interact when things get weird. If you enjoy deep C++ work, tough root-cause analysis, and the kind of engineering where you can feel the difference between a clean design and a fragile one, this role gives you a lot to dig into.
