About The Position

Brighton Jones is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Technology team. This role is responsible for building integrations, automations, and applications that scale the company's operations and client services. It's a hands-on, full-stack position with ownership over design, build, and delivery, utilizing a modern tech stack. The engineer will contribute to architecture decisions, collaborate with business leaders and other engineers, and help evolve the integration platform towards event-driven, API-first patterns. The company emphasizes a purpose-driven, client-focused culture, recognized for its growth, collaboration, and community impact, with over $30 billion in assets under advisement and 300+ teammates nationwide.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
  • Strong fluency in modern stacks: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and cloud-native development.
  • Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and data modeling across relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience designing and operating ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.
  • Object-oriented design and development experience.
  • Experience integrating systems via REST and SOAP APIs, event-driven patterns, and integration middleware.
  • Cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also welcome).
  • Track record of designing solutions that bridge current and desired states, and delivering them end-to-end.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable working directly with business stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • MuleSoft experience strongly preferred; familiarity with other middleware (Boomi, Informatica) also welcome.
  • Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Financial Services Cloud).
  • AI/ML application experience (LLM integration, RAG, agent frameworks, prompt engineering).
  • Financial services or wealth management domain exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deliver integrations that automate the flow of data across internal systems and external partner platforms.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that move and transform data across systems, with strong attention to data quality, observability, and reliability.
  • Develop SQL-based data models, queries, and stored procedures to support reporting, integration, and application needs.
  • Maintain and evolve existing MuleSoft integrations while contributing to the migration toward modern, code-first integration patterns.
  • Build custom applications and components that solve business problems and remove operational friction.
  • Develop AI-enabled features and workflows, including LLM integration, automation, and digital worker use cases.
  • Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders to define requirements, design solutions, and set expectations.
  • Lead full-lifecycle delivery on Agile projects: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical standards, and engineering culture.
