Program Summary This is a large, multi-year Leidos-led prime contract supporting the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of large collection systems. The work performed on this program is mission-critical to the government and focused on solving complex technical challenges within emerging technologies. Team members operate with autonomy while contributing to a highly technical environment delivering impactful, mission-relevant solutions. Job Summary Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of containerized application workflows and infrastructure automation using modern DevOps practices and cloud-native tooling. This role is suited for an engineer who demonstrates consistency in delivery and is capable of contributing across teams to enable scalable deployments, standardization efforts, and reusable application patterns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline with 14+ years of related experience
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD or Fleet
  • Experience working with Kubernetes manifests, Helm, and Docker
  • Understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts
  • Working knowledge of Linux system operations
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot within containerized environments
  • Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of deployment pipelines and Helm charts
  • Collaborate with backend, frontend, and infrastructure teams to integrate services
  • Work with Kubernetes tooling (e.g., Helm, GitOps) to support scalable, containerized deployments
  • Follow team standards and participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
  • Implement and test logic for common application deployment patterns, including secrets and config maps
  • Support internal initiatives to standardize and document reusable deployment templates
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues within containerized environments
