About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Snowpark and Python to join our team. This role involves designing and developing features within Snowflake, understanding customer requirements, and building highly reliable Snowflake solutions for our largest customers. You will also be responsible for enhancing Snowflake's programmability and improving the data developer experience. A key aspect of this role is analyzing and solving challenges related to fault-tolerance, high availability, performance, and scale, while ensuring the operational readiness of services and meeting customer commitments.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building complex distributed systems.
• 2+ years using Snowflake in end-to-end solutions.
• Experience with identifying and overcoming performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with identifying and overcoming scalability challenges.
• Experience with putting together disparate data into a consolidated view.
• Experience working on a scalable and distributed system in public clouds.
• Expert in SQL and the Python programming language.

Responsibilities

• Build highly reliable Snowflake solutions to meet the needs of the largest customers.
• Enhance the programmability surface of Snowflake and improve the experience of the data developer.
• Analyze fault-tolerance and high availability issues, performance and scale challenges, and solve them.
• Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet commitments to customers regarding reliability, availability, and performance.
• Be proficient in SQL and the Python programming language.
