About The Position

Mozilla’s Cloud Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to mature, maintain, and build features for its Internal Developer Infrastructure Platform. The role focuses on creating standardized, scalable systems for CI/CD, observability, Kubernetes optimization, environment bootstrapping, cost optimization, and other infrastructure needs. The engineer will help identify opportunities to improve the organization’s path to production safely and cost-effectively, and support infrastructure used by development teams to own and operate their services. The position includes guiding technical decisions and adoption of user-centric solutions, creating Claude skills and agentic workflows to improve developer productivity, mentoring and supporting team members, and promoting engineering practices that emphasize usability and maintainability. The engineer will collaborate across functions, write proposals and decision briefs for new policies, processes, and platform functionality, develop platform features with meaningful value, and resolve unclear but urgent tasks. Requirements

At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with expertise in at least one of Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
Proven technical leadership experience.
Expertise in several of the following: ArgoCD, Grafana, Kubernetes, GitHub, Terraform, Helm, Backstage, or cloud cost optimization.
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Go.
Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies; GCP is preferred and AWS is also acceptable.
Excellent communication skills and ability to align technology with user needs and organizational goals.
Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity.
Curiosity and interest in learning new things.
