About The Position
Leidos has a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in our Intelligence Sector, Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). Our talented team is at the forefront in Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Cryptographic Key Management. Leidos is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Software Engineer to support a high-stakes, mission-critical program. In this role, you'll help architect, develop, and integrate software solutions that shape national security and drive meaningful innovation. Join an Agile team where your expertise won’t just be valued—it will be vital. This position is eligible for a Sign-on Bonus: $25,000.
Requirements
- Masters and 15+ years of software engineering experience on comparable programs or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 17+ years of related experience
- Common software development tools such as Git, Kira, Confluence and other Atlassian Products
- Experience with Linux Command Line
- Recent experience with Java or similar programming language
- Basic understanding of Container Technologies such as Docker
- Basic understanding of web development and APIs
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Willingness to learn new software and technologies related to backend or frontend development
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with JavaScript, ReactJS specifically
- Experience with Apache Kafka
- Experience with Apache Nifi
- Understanding of Docker/Docker Compose
- Experience with build tools, such as Maven
- Experience with SQL databases
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance secure software applications and systems
- Integrate new software into evolving operational environments
- Analyze user needs to craft efficient and scalable solutions
- Debug and optimize existing software for performance and reliability
- Implement complex algorithms that meet rigorous technical standards
- Create and maintain system documentation and technical reports
- Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams to deliver rapid, high-quality releases
