About The Position

RIVO is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help accelerate the evolution of our proprietary Loan Management System (LMS), the platform that powers our business and supports hundreds of loans processed every day. We're looking for a builder. Someone who can quickly understand a complex production environment, identify opportunities for improvement, and help modernize the architecture, engineering practices, and development standards that will support our next phase of growth. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll help advance a mission-critical fintech platform while partnering closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions. Success in this role requires strong technical depth, sound engineering judgment, and a collaborative approach to solving complex problems. Requirements

8+ years of professional software development experience.
5+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-scale applications.
Experience modernizing legacy or home-grown software platforms.
Experience developing and supporting high-availability production systems.
Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
Strong experience with .NET
Strong experience with C#
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Strong experience with React/Angular – React preferred
Strong experience with TypeScript
Strong experience with REST APIs
Strong experience with Azure Cloud Services
Experience with AI-Assisted Development
Experience with Entity Framework

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable solutions that support the continued evolution of our proprietary LMS.
Modernize existing application architecture and engineering patterns where appropriate.
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Partner with technology leadership to establish development standards and best practices.
Contribute to long-term technical strategy and architectural direction.
Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software across the application stack.
Build new capabilities that support business growth and operational efficiency.
Refactor and enhance existing functionality to improve scalability and sustainability.
Develop secure, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across production and development environments.
Participate in code reviews and drive engineering quality standards.
Improve application monitoring, testing, and deployment practices.
Support CI/CD and automation initiatives.
Help reduce technical debt while improving overall platform health.
Partner with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Contribute technical expertise during planning, estimation, and design discussions.
Share knowledge and mentor engineers through collaboration and code reviews.
Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
Serve as a trusted technical resource across the organization.
