About The Position

Aircall is seeking an engaged and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join their growing engineering department. This role involves the design, development, deployment, and operation of business-critical features that add customer value. The position emphasizes operational excellence, metrics, observability, best practices, evangelization, and mentoring within the team and across the Engineering department. Aircall focuses on quality, excellence, and agility in its delivery processes, utilizing NodeJS and Typescript back-end stacks hosted on AWS to build resilient services that integrate with customer tools like CRM, Helpdesk, and E-Commerce.

Requirements

At least 7+ years of experience in back-end development, using TypeScript & NodeJS/Python/Ruby/Rails or other languages, with a focus on delivering for security, scalability, availability, and performance.
Extensive experience working with AWS in a production environment, preferably for high volume / high availability services.
Understanding of how to design for, deploy on, and get the best out of AWS environment and services.
Value code simplicity, quality, performance, and maintainability.
Ability to design pragmatic & simple architectures to solve problems at scale.
Effective and proactive communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with different profiles and roles.

Nice To Haves

Experience working on frontend applications, preferably with React.

Responsibilities

Create, design, develop, test, and monitor code in production autonomously and reliably.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to offer pragmatic solutions to real-world problems and implement them end-to-end.
Work with the team to design high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions and be accountable for their execution.
Obtain a good understanding of the business to provide relevant solutions to users and clients.
Mentor and promote tech growth within the teams.
Stay up-to-date on new technologies and architectures, demonstrating good judgment in their potential applications.
