About The Position

CMT is seeking a senior-level, versatile Software Engineer to join its AI Native team. The team has a dual mandate: promote efficient use of AI tools across the organization and build AI-based tools for broader use. Its work has included projects such as a PR reviewer, an AI Engineer, and spend management tools. The team primarily works with Product and Engineering, while also supporting efficient AI use in other teams where needed, including HR and Finance. It sources ideas internally and externally, builds prototypes, and further develops prototypes that gain traction for use across the company. The role focuses on sourcing practical AI-native ideas, assessing and communicating solution trade-offs, rapidly developing prototypes, and productizing successful work for company-wide use. The engineer will collaborate with engineers and non-engineers, engage external vendors or trials as needed, apply a security mindset, and present work to audiences to gain feedback and support. CMT’s work aims to make roads and drivers safer through AI applications in mobility, including understanding and reducing risk, detecting crashes, and helping people get life-saving assistance.
