As a software Engineer at Gong, you’ll tackle meaningful technical challenges, design systems at scale, and help shape products that transform how companies understand their customers. We’re looking for an experienced full-stack engineer who’s excited to solve complex technical problems, build end-to-end solutions, and turn real customer pain points into impactful products and tools.

Requirements

5+ years of backend development experience, with deep expertise in Java
1+ year of professional experience building frontend applications with React
Proven ability to solve complex problems, debug efficiently, and build high-quality systems
Experience designing and running cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including microservices architectures
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach — you enjoy working across teams and are passionate about solving real customer pain points
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Nice To Haves

Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, or data-driven APIs

Responsibilities

Design and build end-to-end product features across the backend and frontend, developing scalable and reliable services and APIs using Java and user experiences using React
Own technical projects from start to finish — architecture, development, deployment, and ongoing improvements
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to deliver features that solve real customer problems
Work as part of the Customer Experience Engineering (CXE) team to identify recurring customer and Support pain points, and build tools, automation, and product improvements that enable self-service and reduce support effort
