About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on Google’s Data Cloud Agentic Experiences team, you will empower enterprise users and autonomous AI agents in Gemini Enterprise and other surface areas to securely discover, query, analyze, and visualize structured and unstructured data across Google Cloud and third-party multi-cloud lakehouses. You will build and operate the end-to-end data connectivity control plane, zero-trust enterprise authentication and governance foundations, and domain-specialized agentic skills that transform raw enterprise databases, semantic models, and data catalogs into grounded, citation-backed business answers at cloud scale. Google software engineers develop technologies used by billions of people and work on products that handle information at massive scale. Engineers may work on critical projects and have opportunities to move across teams and projects as the business evolves. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or working with compute technologies or storage.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Experience with Generative AI Agents and Large Language Models.
Experience with Python, distributed systems, and enterprise applications.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
2 years of experience with state-of-the-art GenAI techniques, such as large language models or agents, or GenAI-related concepts such as language modeling.

Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.
Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, including style, code submission, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
Contribute to documentation or educational content and adapt it based on product or program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing causes and impacts on hardware, network, service operations, and quality.
Build and operate the end-to-end data connectivity control plane, zero-trust enterprise authentication and governance foundations, and domain-specialized agentic skills for enterprise data.
