Prescryptive is the healthcare technology company enabling the direct access marketplace for prescription drugs. Learn more about us by following us on LinkedIn or visiting Prescryptive.com. About this role As a Senior Software Engineer, you build, run, and evolve the systems that power our business end-to-end: framing problems, designing and shipping solutions, and keeping them healthy in production. You work across our stack, from backend services to customer-facing applications, and you bring strong judgment about what to build and what to leave alone. You partner with other engineers, domain leads, directors, and technical product managers. We are looking for someone who walks into ambiguity and leaves with a clear technical path, flags risks early, and raises the bar for the people around them.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience, owning ambiguous problems and shipping work that lasts
  • Strong experience building production APIs and integrating with external systems
  • Deep expertise in at least one of C#, Go, or TypeScript
  • Have written and shipped production code in at least one additional language, ideally another from our stack
  • Working knowledge of React, or comparable modern frontend framework
  • Experience with cloud services and modern cloud development practices (Azure preferred)
  • Solid understanding of SQL databases and caching technologies (Redis preferred)
  • You have a strong instinct for what not to build, and you make sound calls when priorities conflict
  • You take on problems outside your expertise, in code you did not write
  • You take ownership of more than your code: the systems, docs, and standards around it
  • Other engineers route their hard problems through you
  • You raise risk early, keep your manager informed, and admit when you do not know
  • Enthusiasm for leveraging AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies
  • Must have permission to work in the US on a permanent basis

Nice To Haves

  • You work across backend and frontend, with meaningful production experience on both sides
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare or fintech
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • Experience with B2B SaaS platforms and customer management systems
  • Advanced DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and observability tooling

Responsibilities

  • Own features end-to-end: framing, design, construction, testing, deployment, and production operations
  • Develop and enhance APIs, backend services, and internal platforms
  • Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems
  • Create web applications and workflow tools that hold up in production
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack, especially those that span service boundaries
  • Anticipate failure modes and design for clarity, testability, and reversibility
  • Improve our development infrastructure: CI/CD, environment management, and observability
  • Raise the bar through code reviews, design input, and the standard your own work sets
  • Translate technical reality into language product and leadership can act on
  • Participate in on-call rotation and own production health for what you ship

Benefits

  • Flexible time off, including 12 paid holidays
  • 401k match
  • 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision premiums
  • Company contribution to Health Savings Account
  • Stock options
