Raytheon is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to support our teams in Richardson TX. You will have the opportunity to design, develop, integrate, test, and support mission‑critical software solutions with moderate to high complexity. This role requires technical independence, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines. The engineer will contribute to system design and implement advanced analytics capabilities. This is an onsite role in Richardson, TX.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience developing and supporting software applications
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with triplestores, SPARQL, and semantic data.
  • Analytics development experience.
  • Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI prior to start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, and DevSecOps tools.
  • Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native tools, or mission-critical environments
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or AI/ML
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Independently complete complex software tasks, deliver meaningful high-performance software and new functionality, and contribute directly to mission success.
  • Improve Matching Team’s rapid data materialization and de-duplication performance, strengthen analytics workflows, and support customer demonstrations with very clear technical communication.
  • Demonstrate technical judgment, collaboration, and initiative to measurably impact program execution.
  • Develop Python services and analytics features.
  • Build and optimize triplestore/knowledge graph solutions.
  • Contribute to integration, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Support CI/CD, containerization, and secure development practices.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams and provide guidance to junior engineers.
