Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and a minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar object-oriented software language.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued interim secret security clearance is required prior to start.
  • Note, only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in developing complex systems and applications using an object-oriented (OO) programming language.
  • Experience with Agile lifecycle methodologies including Scrum, Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development Methodologies.
  • Proven self-motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation)
  • Familiarity with leading a small team (e.g., estimating effort, decomposing tasks, tracking and reporting progress).
  • Experience with multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments
  • Experience with Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), software development tools like Git/Clearcase, and software debuggers
  • Experience in embedded systems, real-time systems, or large-scale applications.
  • Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
  • Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

Responsibilities

  • Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
  • Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in modern languages, Artificial Intelligence (AI), DevSecOps, and other methodologies and technologies, especially in relation to complex systems
  • Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system
