About The Position

EQUALS TRUE is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a remote-first, full-time engagement. This role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the technical direction and product roadmap of the company. You will partner with product managers to deliver value through iterative software development lifecycles, work with frontend and mobile engineers to build technical roadmaps for shared codebases, and own the architecture and code you develop. A key aspect of this role is to deliver great documentation alongside functionality and collaborate with a cross-functional team to solve problems that directly impact patients.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development within robust, highly available, multi-service ecosystems.
• Production experience with our core stack: Ruby on Rails (distributed architecture), React, and Docker.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL to build flexible and scalable data models.
• Hands-on expertise building on core AWS services (ECS, RDS, S3, and more).
• Experience leading through code reviews and system design sessions.
• Track record of designing simple, supportable software through monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Have a direct impact on the technical direction and product roadmap of the company.
• Partner with your product manager to execute value delivery through repeatable and iterative software development lifecycles.
• Work with frontend and mobile engineers to build technical roadmaps for the shared codebase powering our mobile and web patient applications.
• Own the architecture and code you develop and release it frequently into production.
• Spend that extra 10% on every project to deliver great documentation alongside the functionality itself.
• Work with a cross-functional team from a wide variety of backgrounds to solve problems that directly impact patients.
