About The Position

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer with superb technical skills to develop and maintain high volume, critical production platforms in the payment, taxation and reconciliation Platforms within the retirement services division of Workplace Investing Technology. You will engage collaboratively with business and systems partners to deliver high quality and innovative software solutions. You are energized and enthusiastic to learn and grow to provide solid system stability to our applications. You will work closely with our financial operations partners and vendors and work on projects big and small to enhance the applications based on system requirements, product requirements, business requirements, or IRS/SEC requirements. Join our teams working in a fast-paced environment, closely partnering with product, architecture, and other engineering teams. We offer dedicated time each month to develop new skills and investigate new technologies.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
  • Excellent mainframe skills in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, FileAID, Endevor, SQL, Debuggers, Schedulers, and IOMs
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and enhancement projects in the batch and online environments.
  • Design, deploy and support software releases into production environments
  • Employ your data security skills to keep our customers’ information safe
  • Detailed oriented and execute thorough unit, functional and regression testing
  • Ability to perform hands on detailed analysis
  • Be proactive in your work in development and designing solutions
  • Identifies the root cause of problems and designs and implements technical design solutions to address them
  • Experienced in handling high severity/ critical production issues
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effective and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks depending on system or business needs

Nice To Haves

  • Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
  • Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
