About The Position
Apple is seeking a versatile engineer for its Cloud Services Engineering team, which builds end-to-end software solutions, APIs, and core services supporting critical workflows for internal and external customers across Apple’s ecosystem. The role focuses on designing and delivering resilient, highly distributed, massively scalable cloud infrastructure and solutions across multi-cloud environments. The engineer will work hands-on with cross-functional customers to diagnose pain points, resolve complex technical issues, and deliver scalable cloud solutions. Responsibilities span the full software development lifecycle, from system design and architecture through implementation, testing, and deployment. The role also involves building partnerships with platform users and business stakeholders to align engineering deliverables with organizational priorities.
Requirements
- Mastery of one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Hands-on experience implementing industry-standard design patterns and developing RESTful or gRPC APIs.
- Proven experience with one or more major public cloud platforms and their underlying infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud-native application development, Kubernetes orchestration, end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, and the Crossplane framework.
- Solid understanding of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and X.509 certificate frameworks.
- Proficiency with at least one infrastructure-as-code solution, such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to build cross-functional partnerships.
- Professional fluency in both Chinese and English.
- Demonstrated experience leading architectural and detailed design, including security, high availability, fault tolerance, and operational resiliency.
- Hands-on experience operating, optimizing, and scaling production-grade cloud infrastructure and services.
- Practical exposure to cloud networking technologies, design patterns, and troubleshooting in distributed cloud environments.
- Proven expertise in application and service reliability engineering, including incident response, performance tuning, and uptime optimization.

- Support service reliability through incident response, performance tuning, and uptime optimization.
- Build and sustain partnerships with peer teams, platform users, and business stakeholders.
