About The Position
Join our data transformation team as a Senior Software Engineer where you'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining mission-critical applications and services. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge container technologies, specifically Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, while collaborating with a diverse team of skilled professionals. You'll be instrumental in enabling data-driven insights and supporting essential business functions through robust, scalable solutions. We have members in both Toronto and Mississauga offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Proven experience deploying and managing applications on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
- Strong software development skills in modern programming languages
- Experience building and maintaining production applications in team environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members from diverse technical backgrounds
- Understanding of containerization technologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices
Nice To Haves
- Experience with data transformation pipelines and ETL processes
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and services critical to data transformation operations
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Implement best practices for application security, performance, and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure high availability of critical services
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tooling
- Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures
