About The Position

IT Labs is seeking a Senior Software Developer for a client project modernizing large-scale enterprise applications and business-critical workflows. The role supports the transition of legacy systems into a modern application environment, with emphasis on data migration, system integrations, workflow automation, permitting processes, and customer-facing digital services. This is a hands-on engineering position spanning application development, databases, integrations, reporting, and complex existing systems. The engineer will develop and enhance enterprise applications with C# and .NET; support legacy application modernization and migration; maintain data integrity through migration activities; build web functionality; develop Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; create MVC applications; develop secure REST and SOAP integrations; build SSIS ETL processes and SSRS reports; and improve business workflows and digital services. The role also supports online submission, tracking, invoicing, payment, ECM integrations, and collaboration with business users, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders. This is a hybrid, full-time engagement, with onsite presence based on client project requirements and work aligned with the client's business hours and project needs. U.S. citizenship is required. The engagement is offered on an Individual Contractor or B2B contract basis, includes PTO, and is intended as a long-term collaboration with IT Labs working directly in an enterprise client environment.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with C# and the .NET Framework.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, debugging, clean code, and maintainable software design.
Strong experience with JavaScript and jQuery, including AJAX and asynchronous web interactions.
Advanced experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience developing applications using the MVC framework.
Experience developing Windows and web-based applications.
Hands-on experience with REST and/or SOAP APIs and secure system integrations.
Strong experience with SSIS, including ETL development, data transformations, and performance tuning.
Experience developing and integrating reports using SSRS.
Experience modernizing or integrating large-scale enterprise applications.
Practical experience with legacy-system migration and data migration projects.
Experience developing or supporting complex automated workflows and business processes.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
U.S. citizenship is required for this engagement.

Previous experience supporting government, public-sector, permitting, licensing, or regulatory systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance enterprise applications using C# and .NET.
Support modernization and migration of legacy applications, including systems built on MS Access, Mainframe technologies, and other legacy platforms.
Ensure data integrity, validation, and consistency throughout large-scale migration activities.
Build and maintain web functionality using JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and DOM manipulation.
Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
Design and maintain applications using MVC architecture, including routing, application security, and maintainable development practices.
Develop and support secure integrations using RESTful and SOAP web services.
Build and maintain SSIS ETL processes, including data transformation and performance optimization.
Design, deploy, and integrate SSRS reports for operational and business reporting needs.
Develop and improve automated business workflows, workload assignment processes, and customer-facing digital services.
Support online submission, tracking, invoicing, payment, and related business processes.
Integrate applications with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and other external systems.
Collaborate with business users, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into reliable software solutions.
Support modernization of complex applications used across high-volume enterprise environments.
