About The Position

At Torticity, we’re on a mission to transform the litigation industry with technology-driven services. We provide modern infrastructure and automation to streamline how mass tort and personal injury cases are processed, managed, and advanced, all in service of helping people get the justice they deserve. We build software that empowers our internal teams to deliver legal services at scale, enabling faster, smarter, and more transparent litigation support. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team of thoughtful builders. This is a fast-moving, high-impact role for someone who thrives with ownership, autonomy, and clear goals. You’ll help shape and build the operational systems and workflows that underpin our litigation services. You’ll work across our core tech stack -TypeScript, NestJS, Postgres, and Vue/Nuxt, and collaborate closely with product, design, and stakeholders from operations to ship impactful features that keep cases moving forward. We value engineers who embrace modern workflows, including leveraging AI tools like Cursor and Claude for code to accelerate planning, development, and debugging.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, NestJS, Postgres, and Vue/Nuxt (or similar frameworks)
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and deliver projects end-to-end
• Experience building tools and systems that support internal users or operations teams
• Regular use of AI-powered development environments like Cursor
• Experience using prompting tools like Claude to assist with code, planning, or debugging
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with shifting priorities
• A high degree of autonomy, accountability, and curiosity

Nice To Haves

• Experience in legal tech, healthcare ops, fintech, or other regulated or service-heavy industries
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools
• Prior experience building internal platforms, workflow engines, or low-friction tooling for teams

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable systems using TypeScript, NestJS, and Vue/Nuxt
• Take ownership of key initiatives — from shaping technical direction to shipping production code
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a bias toward delivery
• Collaborate with operations, product, and design to build tools that drive litigation workflows
• Use AI tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude for code) to support your work and increase velocity
• Participate in code reviews and help shape engineering standards and best practices
• Debug, refactor, and evolve systems to meet new demands as the business grows
• Improve internal tooling, automation, and developer experience
