About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining projects using Java and Python. The engineer will work with Snowflake and Postgres databases, develop and maintain DBT models, and build REST APIs using the Spring Framework. Responsibilities include writing unit and integration tests, containerizing applications with Docker, and developing Airflow DAGs for workflow management. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, managing data storage in Amazon S3, and ensuring data security and compliance. The role may telecommute from any home office throughout the U.S.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in software development
• 3 years of experience in Developing Java based RESTful microservices
• 3 years of experience in Ensuring software quality using unit and integration tests
• 3 years of experience in Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines utilizing Maven and Jenkins
• 3 years of experience in Using SQL to retrieve, transform, and persist the data
• 3 years of experience in Using Git to interact with source control systems for source code management
• 1 year of experience in Using ORM technologies including Hibernate to interact with databases
• 1 year of experience in Utilizing caching technologies including Redis to provide low latency services and to optimize the user experience
• 1 year of experience in Using NoSql datastores including Mongo/Dynamo to develop highly available distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Understanding the Business use cases
• Design, develop, and maintain projects using Java and Python
• Work with Snowflake and Postgres databases to optimize data storage and retrieval
• Develop and maintain DBT models for data transformation and loading
• Build and maintain REST APIs using Spring Framework
• Write unit tests using JUnit and integration tests using Mockito
• Containerize applications using Docker
• Develop and manage Airflow DAGs for workflow management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Work in an Agile environment, using Scrum methodology, to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Manage and optimize data storage in Amazon S3 cloud storage
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards
