A major part of the position would involve developing and validating software tools/applications and procedures for releasing production software to manufacturers and field service teams. This position will develop, test, and validate the software tools and applications on robotic hardware systems directly most of the time. These tools and applications directly support the test fixtures on the production lines and the service activities in the hospitals. This engineer will work closely with other software teams, project management, operation teams, field service teams, and quality teams to implement the design transfer for software releases. This engineer will also provide training to field service engineers and manufacturing engineers on system operation, troubleshooting, and debugging. The engineer will maintain an up-to-date understanding of the system design and behavior, and regularly upgrade their technical skills. This engineer will also develop software tools for monitoring system performance, improving utility of logged data, and enhancing debugging.
