About the position

The job overview for this role is to join the Video Services team at StreamYard and contribute to the development of all video-related technologies. The role requires expert knowledge of Node.js and Typescript, as well as experience working within a startup environment building and maintaining SAAS products running 24/7 on the cloud. The ideal candidate should be a fast learner, have a strong understanding of different software development practices, and a passion for clean and appropriately tested code.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of video-related technologies at StreamYard
Work on ingesting and delivering live streams and processing video-on-demand with AI technologies
Have expert knowledge of Node.js and Typescript
Possess good knowledge in Kubernetes, Terraform, or GCP (a plus)
Work within a startup environment and maintain SAAS products running 24/7 on the cloud
Be a fast learner and show interest in learning outside of your norm
Have experience in breaking production and learning from the experience
Be available on call for one weekend per month
Have a strong understanding of different software development practices
Have a passion for clean and appropriately tested code
Possess excellent Computer Science knowledge
Be available during Eastern Time +2 to Eastern Time -1 timezone
Participate in a screening call with a Recruiter (30-45 minutes)
Attend a 60-minute interview with the team.

Requirements

Expert knowledge of Node.js and Typescript
