AirbyteSan Francisco, CA
$196,000 - $255,000Hybrid

About The Position

Airbyte is the data and action layer for AI agents, providing them with fast, accurate, and authenticated access to business data across hundreds of sources. The company has a strong foundation in open-source data integration, having raised significant funding from prominent investors. Airbyte is now building context infrastructure for production-grade agents, aiming to make data available and actionable to everyone, including AI agents. This role is part of an Engineering Hiring Sprint, an expedited process to quickly bring exceptional candidates through an accelerated hiring procedure. The company is hiring across multiple engineering teams, including Platform, Database, Site Reliability, Extensibility API, AI Agents, and Engineering Managers. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical problems, moves quickly, embraces AI, and takes ownership of their work. The role is for a Software Engineer on the Data Replication team, a full-stack product team responsible for over 3 million sync jobs weekly across multiple regions and clouds. The focus will be on the Control and Data Plane systems, managing configuration, job lifecycle, and load scaling, as well as Destinations, which are strategic integrations Airbyte develops. The role may also involve deep dives into infrastructure when necessary. Engineers are expected to leverage AI as a force multiplier for automating tasks, augmenting incident response, and building smarter internal tooling. Airbyte values how engineers work, emphasizing trust, directness, and craftsmanship.
