Requirements

12 years of experience (or 16 years with alternative experience for candidates without a B.S. in a technical discipline)
B.S. in a technical discipline (or 4 additional years of professional experience in lieu of degree)
Production experience with AWS services including EKS, Terraform, IAM, and Route 53
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm/Kustomize
Demonstrated expertise with Docker and containerization technologies
Experience with Argo CD and/or other CI/CD frameworks
Proficiency configuring and using observability tooling such as Elastic Stack (Kibana) and Grafana/Prometheus
Experience with certificate management and cloud-native security practices
Track record supporting cloud-native architecture and maintaining production software and infrastructure
Ability to take high-level mission goals and transform them into engineering outcomes
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on engineering with leadership and coordination responsibilities

Nice To Haves

Experience developing technical policies and governance frameworks
Familiarity with AI inference serving technologies (vLLM, LiteLLM, etc.)
Previous experience with agentic frameworks
Knowledge of vector databases and embedding systems
Familiarity with LLMs and AI hosting concepts

Responsibilities

Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) that supports the organization's AI capabilities
Translate high-level stakeholder goals into concrete engineering outcomes and platform solutions
Work within ambiguous problem spaces to define structured, executable solutions for your team
Mentor engineers and establish development best practices, engineering standards, and technical governance
Establish and enforce security best practices for infrastructure systems and data, including certificate and identity management
