About The Position

Omada Health is a remote-first healthcare and technology company seeking an experienced engineer to join their Platform Engineering team. This role is crucial in designing, building, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure that support Omada’s mission. The team is responsible for the operational integrity of the infrastructure and for DevOps processes that enhance engineer productivity. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, works well cross-functionally, is comfortable with stakeholders, and is motivated to learn new technologies. They should be able to plan, develop, and deliver exemplary technical work with humility and flexibility, focusing on providing the best possible solutions. This role requires hands-on experience building scalable cloud infrastructure and collaborating effectively with talented individuals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of working experience designing and building diverse AWS cloud architectures
  • Experience building and operating a Kubernetes cluster
  • Experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience working with Datadog application performance monitoring, custom metrics, and logs
  • Experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting persistent virtual Linux hosts and volumes
  • Experience building, deploying, and orchestrating Docker images and containers.
  • Great communication skills – both written and verbal. Skilled at writing documentation for others.
  • Readiness to run towards fires as part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Become a key part of the development and operation of Omada’s digital health program Architecture & Infrastructure.
  • Play a daily role building and scaling the platform, supporting the delivery of a personalized experience to program members, and empowering health coaches.
  • Work closely (including pair programming) with the rest of the Platform team and collaborate frequently with internal customers from product engineering, InfoSec, and IT.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with software engineers, data engineers, and technical program managers to understand their needs and deliver solutions.
  • Manage highly available services in EKS clusters and on standalone EC2 hosts, designing for resiliency and cross-regional redundancy.
  • Work with engineers to design and improve developer tooling and capability, supporting use cases like secrets management, automations, cloud environments, and access management.
  • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members.
  • Maintain and enhance the self-hosted Gitlab-based VCS and CI/CD infrastructure.
