About The Position
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with 8+ Years of specialized technical experience to support, maintain, and enhance a suite of mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in various skills in mainframe technologies, middleware, databases, and DevOps practices, with a strong understanding of enterprise application support and acts as a technical lead, responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting critical mainframe applications while guiding junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance.
- Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems and software development tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
- Experience in enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.) and their operational workflows.
- Worked on waterfall and agile methodology projects; capable of handling - Incidents, Service Requests and Change Requests simultaneously.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries.
- Develop technical documentation (Knowledge Base articles, SOPs) for business and support teams.
- Understand both functional and technical requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs.
