This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, which is the ability to work from home, while also requiring to be in person as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri. Requirements

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years of Java development experience
  • 3+ years of UI Development Experience including CSS3, HTML5, Responsive/Adaptive
  • Experience with Spring, Struts, Hibernate, and Web Services
  • Experience working in AWS environment
  • Experience with Jenkins
  • Strong communication skills to successfully collaborate with various IT teams and business representatives effectively
  • Ability to collaborate in both a team-oriented environment, as well as work independently while providing direction to other team members
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including debugging multi-threaded applications
  • Skilled with troubleshooting production issues, code reviews and production support
  • Previous experience leading large scale projects
  • Strong teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of React JS development experience architecting highly complex enterprise systems
  • Experience with React and REST based APIs
  • Experience with Azure and .NET
  • Knowledge of MVVM architecture is preferred
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns is preferred
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and/or similar tool
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience with source control management (Bitbucket/GIT experience preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Leverage advanced technical expertise to design, develop, support, and enhance technology solutions that support complex business challenges across the vehicle acquisition lifecycle.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, leading the implementation of scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Drive improvements in system quality and performance.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to deliver enhancements that support vehicle ordering, vehicle specifications, fleet planning, license and titling processes.
  • Contribute to key initiatives, including improving electronic vehicle ordering integrations with OEM partners and developing capabilities that enable in-house printing of Manufacturer Statements of Origin (MSOs).
  • Collaborate closely with business users and technology partners, including the Cloud Data Engineering, Workload Automation, and Data Transfer teams, to deliver integrated solutions that improve operational efficiency, streamline data processes, and support the ongoing evolution of Vehicle Acquisition products.
  • Collaborate with architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, evaluate technologies, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Translate business and customer needs into effective, high-quality solutions.
  • Independently resolve complex technical issues.
  • Recommend enhancements that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Promote engineering best practices.
  • Monitor key performance metrics.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions that strengthen system integration, reliability, and long-term support.
