Senior Software Engineer, iOS
About The Position
DoorDash is building the world's most reliable on-demand, logistics engine for delivery and is expanding its Engineering offices globally. They are looking for Senior iOS Engineers to build and maintain a large-scale, 24x7 global infrastructure system that powers DoorDash's 3-sided marketplace of Consumers, Merchants, and Dashers. This role involves building an app used by millions and critical to local entrepreneurs. Senior Engineers are expected to run projects end-to-end and mentor junior to mid-level peers. The role offers opportunities to scale mobile infrastructure or build product features. This is a hybrid role with some in-office time expected and reports to an Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Expert at Swift, and iOS SDK
- Familiarity with networking, storage, and Cocoapods
- Systems and OOP knowledge
- Experience building, launching, and iterating on mobile apps
Responsibilities
- Work within engineering teams to build exciting features
- Improve the codebase through continuous refactoring
- Solve challenging real-time data transfer and synchronization problems
- Extend and implement APIs
- Implement unit tests
- Keep up-to-date with the industry standards of iOS development
