Waymo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their In-field Behavior Response team. This role focuses on solving complex, on-road challenges within the autonomous driving behavior stack. The engineer will work on critical domains such as Service Quality Reasoning (protecting Waymo's brand in various scenarios) and Intersection & Pedestrian Reasoning (mitigating safety risks in high-stakes environments). The position involves rapidly triaging and resolving in-field issues, directly launching features to address behavioral problems, and contributing to the Onboard RRG working group. When not actively responding to production issues, the engineer will collaborate with their Team Lead Manager (TLM) to enhance production monitoring and response capabilities within the organization.
