CoreWeave•Sunnyvale, CA
•$182,000 - $242,000

About The Position

CoreWeave is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for W&B’s ML Workflows organization. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager for ML Workflows, this engineer will own the architecture and evolution of core systems in the Weights & Biases platform. ML Workflows includes Artifacts, the versioned data layer; Registry, the organization-wide source of truth for production-ready models; Automations, the event and action layer; and Launch, execution infrastructure for customer ML and agent workloads. The role owns systems end to end, from design through production reliability, and works across the W&B backend, Python SDK, and frontend. The engineer partners with product managers, designers, ML platform engineers, and enterprise ML teams. Team placement is based on the candidate’s strengths and interests. W&B products are being built onto CoreWeave infrastructure, creating opportunities to shape that work.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and evolution of a core platform area, designing systems that scale to billions of artifacts and high-volume event and job throughput.
  • Analyze system architecture to identify optimization opportunities, solve complex bugs, and balance short-term delivery with long-term platform health.
  • Work across Go backend services, GraphQL APIs, the Python SDK, and the TypeScript frontend as needed.
  • Lead migrations and re-architecture of systems carrying live customer traffic while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
  • Identify and refactor technical debt to improve maintainability and developer productivity.
  • Establish engineering patterns and best practices that support platform growth.
