About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer II will lead the implementation and configuration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Preference Center. This role involves supporting development across Sales Cloud, including Pardot, Preference Center, Campaigns, Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, Cases, and Activities. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining Apex code, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and integrations with external systems, as well as improving marketing workflows related to Pardot, Campaigns, Lead Management, and customer data quality. The engineer will also assist with legacy system migrations, refactor older Salesforce components, and manage development tasks and deployments using Copado CI/CD and Azure DevOps. Applying best practices for metadata management, sandbox strategy, and Copado Robotic Testing, troubleshooting production issues across clouds, and participating in Agile ceremonies are also crucial. Furthermore, the position requires successfully implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews, operating in various development environments, resolving complex technical issues, staying abreast of new technological developments, designing complex data models, and mentoring less-senior software developers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience (Sales and/or Marketing Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud (AMPscript, SQL, APIs) and Pardot.
  • Strong knowledge of Sales Cloud core objects and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules).
  • Experience with Copado (deployments, Git branching, Robotic Testing).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Agile tools.
  • Proficient in Apex, SOQL, LWC, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs).
  • Experience with data quality, preference centers, and campaign management.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
  • Expertise in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Strong knowledge of industry and best practices in development.
  • Knowledge of using and developing applicable tool sets.
  • Ability to interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development.
  • Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
  • Ability to complete complex bug fixes.

Responsibilities
