About The Position

In the position of Sr Software Engineer I at Softheon, you'll lead significant aspects of our software development efforts, using your expertise to design, develop, and refine solutions that advance our healthcare technology offerings. Your work will influence the direction of our products, and you'll mentor junior engineers, shaping the technical future of Softheon while delivering impactful software solutions. Additional Responsibilities: Must be available for on-call duty during peak periods, providing support outside of regular working hours as needed to ensure the timely resolution of critical issues. Although we work in a remote-first environment, all roles require in-person attendance at our headquarters approximately 2 times per year (in addition to other travel requirements for this specific role, if applicable). These visits are essential for team collaboration, strategic planning, and fostering deeper connections across the organization. Travel arrangements will be supported to ensure a seamless experience. Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zone of the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 4-6 years of related experience is required.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor others.
  • AZ-900 Certification (or to be obtained within 90 days of starting employment)
  • AI-900 Certification (or to be obtained within 90 days of starting employment)
  • Demonstrated expertise in .NET.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capable of managing senior relationships and influencing others.
  • Broad knowledge of software engineering principles.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to devise solutions based on limited information and adapt existing methods to meet new challenges.
  • Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zone of the United States.
  • Must have valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without any current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize complete knowledge in specialized areas to architect, develop, and maintain sophisticated software solutions with .NET.
  • Suggest variations in approaches to complex software problems and contribute significantly to the development of new theories and methods.
  • Lead small projects effectively, managing timelines and deliverables with a high degree of competence and independence.
  • Serve as a journey-level professional with complete knowledge of software engineering, providing expertise in the design and development of new applications and features.
  • Act as a mentor and guide for junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and understanding of software development best practices.
  • Employ advanced problem-solving techniques to address problems of diverse scope, analyze data effectively, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Build and enhance relationships with senior internal and external partners, advising on complex matters and persuading stakeholders when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Talent team to actively engage in the hiring and recruitment process, including but not limited to participating in interviews.
  • Leverage industry networks and expertise to identify and attract top talent that aligns with the company's objectives and values.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members within your department and across diverse functions.
  • Play an integral role in shaping and reinforcing the overall company culture, promoting values that enhance teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.
