Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer - GUI-related occupation.
- Programming skills in C/C++
- Modular GUI development in Qt (or equivalent tools)
- Front end technologies and front-end frameworks
- Entire software stack
- Working in a Linux environment
- Software development tools (Git, Jenkins, various IDE's)
- Medical device development experience
- Prototyping
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software for the Ottava Robotic System, with a focus on robust, safety-critical GUI and frontend components.
- Implement threadsafe, failsafe, high-quality C++ and QML code for multicore, multithreaded Qt applications.
- Develop unit tests to support verification and UI validation.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Participate in regular code reviews while mentoring and training team members on design techniques and coding standards.
- Lead the design of major software components, systems, and features.
- Synthesize design and development by envisioning the system architecture and implementing cutting-edge GUI/UI concepts from storyboards and wireframe designs.
- Collaborate closely with designers, researchers, clinicians, product managers, and a large, passionate group of peers to shape simple and effective user experiences, influencing the future of design.
- Work closely with Clinical Engineering, Human Factors, UX Design, System Software, and Visualization teams to implement versatile solutions to complex front-end development challenges while keeping the end user in mind.
