Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack UI (SIE)

Anduril IndustriesCosta Mesa, CA

About The Position

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology. The Software Integration Environment (SIE) team manages fleets of Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, test environments, and external cloud deployments, operating critical infrastructure for rapid software development, testing, and deployment. As operations scale across AWS, Azure, and on-premise environments, the team is building a next-generation platform experience to empower internal engineering teams and external customers to deploy and manage complex cloud infrastructure with confidence and speed. This role is for a Full-stack UI Developer to lead the design and development of a new platform experience for the SIE ecosystem. The developer will be the architect of the user-facing layer, building intuitive interfaces for complex cloud operations. Responsibilities include designing and implementing web applications for visibility into Kubernetes deployments, orchestrating CI/CD pipelines, managing test environments, and enabling self-service infrastructure provisioning. The role requires a product-minded engineer who can translate complex infrastructure concepts into elegant user experiences and assist in delivering the full-stack systems powering them. Passion for developer experience, data visualization, and building tools for mission success is key.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field; or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on UI/UX development
  • Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React for building production web applications
  • Experience building full-stack applications, including back-end API development in languages such as Go, Python, or similar
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, design systems, and creating intuitive user experiences for technical products
  • Experience with data visualization libraries and techniques for presenting complex information clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end from design through deployment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

  • Experience or interest working in Go
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts (Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, cloud services)
  • Experience with gRPC/protobuf or similar technologies

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop full-stack web applications for the SIE platform, including dashboards, management consoles, and configuration interfaces.
  • Build intuitive, responsive front-end interfaces using modern web technologies (React, TypeScript) that provide at-a-glance visibility into infrastructure health, deployments, and operations.
  • Develop robust back-end services and APIs (Go) to support the UI layer, integrating with Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and cloud providers.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards that surface metrics, logs, and deployment status across hundreds of environments.
  • Design user workflows for complex operations like cluster provisioning, application deployment, and environment management that serve both technical and non-technical users.
  • Collaborate closely with SREs, platform engineers, and external customers to understand pain points and rapidly iterate on features.
  • Champion UX best practices and advocate for the end-user experience in technical discussions.
  • Build and maintain design systems and reusable component libraries to ensure consistency across the platform.
  • Implement observability and monitoring into the UI layer to track user behavior and system health.
  • Lead the technical direction for front-end architecture, tooling, and development practices on the team.
  • Collaborate with business lines to scope UI/engineering deliverables.
  • Support customer meetings and demonstrations, explaining technical capabilities and constraints.
  • Work with military stakeholders to ensure UI implementations support successful mission outcomes from prototyping through production phases.
