We’re a tight-knit, ambitious group building quickly at the frontier of AI and search, with teammates primarily based in New York and Seattle. As an early member of the team, you’ll have a meaningful influence on what we build, how we build it, and how the engineering organization evolves as we scale. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Evertune, you’ll build across the core product experience – from user-facing workflows to the backend systems and APIs that power them. We’re looking for a strong generalist who can move fluidly between frontend and backend, make smart tradeoffs, and ship thoughtful, high-impact product work in a fast-moving environment. You’ll contribute directly to core product development and partner closely with product, design, and engineering to turn complex ideas into software that feels intuitive, useful, and differentiated. This role is ideal for an engineer who likes owning problems end to end, thrives in ambiguity, and is excited to help define what great AI-native product development looks like. You should be excited by AI-native product experiences, energized by ambiguity, and already heavily using AI tools and LLMs in your own workflow to operate with greater leverage.

Requirements

Must currently be located in the NYC area and able to work in-office 3x/week
7+ years experience building and shipping production software as a full stack engineer
Strong experience working across modern frontend systems and backend services
Deep expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks
Experience building backend services and working with Python-based systems or similar
Strong product instinct and a track record of building thoughtful, user-facing software
Strong API design and integration skills
Comfort with cloud platforms (preferably GCP), CI/CD workflows, and performance monitoring
Forward-thinking about how AI is changing product development - whether that’s incorporating LLMs into workflows, building AI-native products, or using AI tools to move faster and improve quality
Must be AI-forward and actively using AI tools / LLMs to increase leverage and engineering efficiency
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional settings with design, product, and business stakeholders
Strong technical judgment and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving startup environment

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
Experience building analytics products, data-heavy applications, or complex B2B workflows
Experience building polished, intuitive user-facing product experiences
Early-stage startup or founding engineer experience
Exposure to the AI / LLM ecosystem or interest in large-scale model behavior
Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities

Responsibilities

Own and develop key areas of Evertune’s product experience across frontend, backend, and APIs
Build and ship end-to-end product features across the stack, from user-facing experiences to backend services and integrations
Design, develop, and ship thoughtful, high-quality product experiences for cutting-edge AI products
Build and evolve backend services and application logic that power core product workflows
Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering to turn complex ideas into clear, impactful user experiences
Help create cohesion across multiple product areas into a unified, intuitive product experience
Contribute to frontend architecture, backend design, and code standards across the stack
Partner with engineering teammates to design clean APIs and ensure seamless integration across systems
Debug and improve performance, reliability, responsiveness, and overall product quality
Contribute to a team culture that values speed, craft, ownership, and candor
