About The Position

Nexamp is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join their mission-driven team focused on accelerating the sustainable energy future. This role involves building and optimizing tech solutions to improve the efficiency of capital deployment into solar power plants. The engineer will focus on internal financial modeling tools, driving impact through quality code, project ownership from conception to completion, process refinement, and mentoring junior team members. The position is hybrid, based in Boston, and reports to the squad's Tech Lead.

Requirements

7+ years of full stack software development experience at companies with 10 or more developers.
Experience building and optimizing consumer-facing frontend applications in React and TypeScript.
Experience developing and optimizing web-based solutions in modern Python, ideally using Django, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
Robust understanding of web standards, infrastructure (databases, storage, caching, content delivery, etc.), and cloud platform offerings.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with users and business stakeholders, facilitating software and process requirements.
Experience leveraging debugging expertise and a proven track record of independently solving problems.
Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git, CI/CD pipelines for automated testing & deployment, and infrastructure tools like Terraform.
Understanding of cutting edge AI tools and a commitment to leveraging them to rapidly deliver high quality software.

Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.

Experience building financial forecasting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver measurable change for Nexamp and its customers by internalizing objectives.
Design, implement, and deploy reliable and efficient production software using a React/Django/Azure stack.
Actively collaborate in sprint planning, execution, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
Own design decisions across the stack, establishing and executing scalable patterns, standards, and best practices.
Guide and inspire more junior developers through mentorship and collaboration.
