Companies like Airbnb, Carlyle Group, FedEx, Visa, and Dr. Martens use Watershed to manage climate and ESG data, produce audit-ready metrics for voluntary and regulatory reporting including CSRD, and drive real decarbonization. The role Watershed is a software platform for running a world-class climate program. We measure our success in the carbon reduction achievements of our customers. We are looking for team members to join our team focused on delivering outcomes for our Financial Institution customers. You’ll work on the team turning Watershed’s data layer into an intelligence platform: BI-grade querying, AI-powered discovery and analysis, and the schema architecture underneath it all. The goal is for customers to get answers inside Watershed—not export to Excel. What you could work on: Build new interactive data visualizations to help climate leads understand their company's emissions. Build APIs to unify carbon data access for customers and other engineers. Build tools that help financial institutions measure and report emissions across their portfolio companies. Build tools for customers to effectively ingest and interpret business data. You will: Ship code to production on day one Collaborate with product, design, climate science, and data science to build and iterate on software that helps our customers understand their climate data

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering industry experience, preferably in Node.js web development or data pipelines
  • Experience building scalable software starting from user needs
  • Excited to join a startup and are ready to help evolve a growing engineering team
