About The Position

In this role, you will lead development of full-stack systems that power our core platform. You’ll design and scale services that handle complex workflows, integrate data from thousands of devices, and ensure reliability across our growing infrastructure. Your work will directly impact how effectively our technology operates at scale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack or product-focused roles
  • Experience building and owning end-to-end products, from backend services to user-facing applications
  • Strong experience with frontend frameworks (React/TypeScript) and modern backend technologies (Python, Postgres)
  • Experience building and maintaining GraphQL APIs
  • Ability to thrive in a low-structure, high-autonomy environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and scaling distributed systems or data-intensive applications
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Mimir
  • Background working in hardware/software contexts or other operationally complex environments

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale backend services that connect thousands of Gridware devices to the cloud, enabling real-time monitoring and fault detection
  • Build and maintain user-facing applications and interfaces that surface fleet health, events, and operational insights
  • Develop and optimize APIs (including GraphQL) and data pipelines powering both internal tools and external workflows
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and usability across both frontend and backend systems
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, data, and design teams to deliver seamless end-to-end product experiences
  • Contribute to architecture decisions across the stack, improving scalability, data flow, and system resilience
