Requirements

5+ years working in complex environments
Self-driven, optimistic, creative, and resourceful
Excited by new domains and challenges, and eager to pick up new context to accelerate impact
Excel in written and verbal communication and enjoy leveraging skills to support peers
Relentlessly seek user impact and value execution over technical idealism
Prioritize simplicity, reliability, and velocity and proactively identify opportunities to improve proposed implementations or incumbent systems
Excel in dynamic and ambitious environments, working with a diverse group of individuals and backgrounds
Experience with STM32, C / C++, RTOS
Experience with Linux, NodeJS / TypeScript
Experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD

No specific background in robotics is required or favored, but candidates excited by the domain and looking to apply their expertise in a new area are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust backend architectures for robot control and state management
Build and maintain test infrastructure to ensure system safety and reliability
Develop the firmware for hardware integration of various robotics peripherals (cameras, grippers, sensors)
Drive technical decisions around system architecture and engineering best practices
Create reliable APIs and services that enable seamless robot operations
Implement monitoring, logging, and debugging systems for robot operations
Mentor other engineers on backend architecture and system design principles
