About The Position
The Digital Engineering Methods, Process & Adoption Software Solution team is on a mission to drive digital transformation to Collins Aerospace. This is the PERFECT position for a Senior level Software Engineer with a strong background in DevSecOps to join a team in creating, deploying and enhancing our Collins Cert DevOps pipeline solution. This is an onsite position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Practical experience in all aspects/phases the software engineering product lifecycle to include all phases of certification.
- Experience with DevSecOps.
- Experience with the following programming languages: C/C++, Ada
- Experience with: GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW, LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, Vista.
- Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Robot, Lava.
- Experience with networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
- Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of new capabilities for our Cert DevOps pipeline.
- Optimize existing Cert DevOps pipeline capabilities.
- Set-up and own sandbox environments for technology incubation and development.
- Use organizational skills to keep track of everything.
- Use effective communication skills to keep engineering peers, leadership and customers up to date.
- Use problem solving, decision making, and teamwork skills to support the team mission.
