Senior Software Engineer/Developer
About The Position
Performs front-end Web development and builds digital experiences for financial planning, investment, and retirement solutions. Develops and enhances Web applications using Angular, GraphQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. Uses Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments, writes unit tests with Jest, and performs automation testing with Cypress. Implements DevOps practices and continuous delivery methodologies to improve development workflows and deployment processes. Builds applications and implements features to improve user experience, providing business solutions through complex or multiple software applications. The role develops technical solutions, designs applications and subsystems for major projects across multiple platforms, and supports multiple projects and divisional initiatives. It performs testing through implementation, assists with user acceptance testing, creates comprehensive documentation, and conducts post-installation testing. The role establishes plans for projects of moderate scope and performs complex technical and functional analysis across project phases and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent), plus three years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer or closely related occupation performing front-end development using Angular, NgRx, and JavaScript in a financial services domain; or a master’s degree in one of those fields (or foreign education equivalent), plus one year of such experience.
- Demonstrated expertise developing front-end financial Web applications using Angular, RxJs, Redux, NgRx, and jQuery.
- Demonstrated expertise performing unit testing of front-end financial desktop and Web applications using Jest.
- Demonstrated expertise designing functional and integration test cases for front-end financial desktop and Web applications using Cypress and Cucumber.
- Demonstrated expertise developing front-end financial Web applications in Angular according to Infragistics frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise developing server layers using Java, NodeJs, and NestJs.
- Demonstrated expertise providing technical support and knowledge sharing across geographically disparate business units using Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise developing enterprise cloud-based financial workflow solutions using a serverless architecture pattern and AWS services including Lambda, SQS, IAM, and NodeJS.
Responsibilities
