About The Position

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Core Experiences Team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across all platforms. Requirements

Systems thinking: Ability to design end-to-end systems and value simplicity.
Speed: Ability to generate ideas and options quickly and prioritize effectively.
Focus: Ability to engage appropriately and work heads-down in a busy, remote startup environment.
Collaboration: Ability to inspire, play, and negotiate with designers, marketers, and PMs.
Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is acceptable, but the role emphasizes Kotlin Multiplatform).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, find ways to reduce scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via the cross-platform SDK.
Optimize existing functionality, such as improving loading times and parsing intelligence, by designing more efficient abstractions and enhancing algorithms.
Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
